The Jungle Book and Disney: Live-Action Remakes

Hello all!
I have been doing a bit of research for this post, so hence the lack of recent updates. This article will detail how Disney is making so much money off of their "re-imaginings" of their old animated films. The incentive behind this post is largely the financial success of the Jungle Book, and critical success.

My Favorites: The Social Network

Hello all!
I am starting a new series titled "My Favorites" (WIP name) which I will try to update every week or so, where I discuss my favorite films of all time. Personally, I don't have an exact favorite film, but the ones in this series are up there for me. I'm going to kick off this series with one of the first films that really sparked my appreciation for cinema, The Social Network. (This series is not exactly reviews, but instead just me talking about the film.)

Hello all! I apologize for the lack of posting recently, despite there being stuff to talk about. Yesterday, I finally got to see the new version of The Jungle Book. Here's my review of it, (even though it's not Sunday anymore!)(No spoilers, even though there's really nothing to spoil.)

Week 5: April 8th ~ April 15th: CinemaCon News! :

Hello all! Contrasting these last few weeks, this week was a huge movie news week, with Marvel week on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the first screenings of Civil War, and of course, CinemaCon. There was even more stuff this week than I could fill here, but I tried to stuff as much as possible.

Why Rogue One Will NOT Be Another Star Wars "Prequel"

Hello all!
Ever since the announcement of Rogue One, and more recently, the trailer, many people are anticipating the failure of the film (NOT the financial failure). The word "prequel" has not been used to describe this film by the marketing team, and for a good reason. The term "Star Wars prequel" instantly turns people off from the film, knowing the massive disappointment that the prequel trilogy was. Therefore, those fans who are relating that term to this film have their doubts, but I'm going to try to explain why this "prequel" will be different.

Hello all!
Apologies for a lack of a post yesterday, but there's a TON of stuff going on this week in the film world, so I will make it up! My usual trailer discussions are on Thursdays, but there are three frickin' cool trailers that came out this weekend and I couldn't wait until Thursday to talk about them.

Sunday Review : Ex Machina

Hello all!
There were no new films this week that I had any interest in this week, so I watched one from 2015 that I missed out on, Ex Machina.

Week 4 : April 1st - April 8th : Wolverine 3 AND Furious 8 Villains Cast!

Hello all!
I have realized by doing news round-ups that there is a lot of stuff that I plainly am uninterested in, so I am trying a new format out this time, and I'll see if it works out. From now on I will only talk about two or three news pieces (disregarding a trailer discussed on Thursday). By doing so, I get to write about stuff I care about!

SPECULATION : Jyn Erso is Rey's Mother

Hello all!
Another off-schedule post for the day, but a small fan theory has been floating around recently, due to the new Rogue One trailer. The title says it all, but let's get into this.

On Gender in Film: Rogue One Controversy

This is a bit unconventional, and I was not planning to do this post. However, after reading through tons of comments on the Rogue One trailer, I think something has to be said about this.

Trailer Talk Thursday! Featuring : Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Hello all!
Just when I thought I had nothing more from Star Wars to talk about, Disney drops the trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Here are my thoughts from this freakin' awesome preview from this year's film from the world of Star Wars. Here's the link to the fantastic new trailer!

The Difference Between "Favorite" and "Best" in Regards to Film

Hello all!
Little late on the post today, but either way, here it is! So unlike all my other posts, we aren't going to be talking about specific films, but more of film in general. Around this blog, you will see me use the words "best" and "favorite" a lot, usually bolded, and especially in my top (number) count-downs. Just to clarify what I mean when I make favorite vs best lists, here are the differences.

My Ranking of the 8 Harry Potter Films

Taking a break from all the Star Wars posts recently, I move on to another huge fantasy franchise that has influenced an entire generation of children. I love Harry Potter (maybe not as much as Star Wars but that's not what I'm here to talk about) with all my heart. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is opening near me in the coming days, and I thought I'd celebrate with a few Potter posts. So here is my list of my favorite Harry Potter films, ranked from eight to one. (Disclaimer : I have seen most of these films only once or twice, so my knowledge on them is not as extensive as my Star Wars or Marvel stuff.)(Disclaimer#2 : This post is pretty long)

Week 3 : March 25th - April 1st : Kingsman 2! Another LEGO Batman Trailer!

Why I Like Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

Hello all!
More Star Wars! It might feel like December 2015 again now, but that's not a problem for me! This is a more of an unpopular opinion that I have, but I'd like to share it. I really like Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Like I think it is a solid, entertaining movie, that is a worthy addition to the franchise. Before you hate me, here's why.
