Top 10 Most Anticipated Summer Film Releases of 2016! (5-1)

Hello all!
Today, I'm going to finish the mini list I started yesterday! If you have not seen yesterday's post you can right here

5. Star Trek Beyond
So I'm gonna start this off by saying that I am not a big Star Trek guy. I love Star Wars with all my heart, but Star Trek was never really my thing. I have seen a few episodes of the Next Generation TV show, and that's about it. Then J.J Abrams ignited a new fire in the franchise with the reboot back in 2009. I loved it and it's sequel, Into Darkness. Many hardcore Star Trek fans are not pleased with Abrams' take, but I enjoy the fun adventure feel. The trailer released a few months back was very controversial, but I loved it. The Beastie Boys song paired with the fast-paced action sequences made a trailer for a hopeful summer blockbuster.

4. Jason Bourne
There's only one small 30 second clip of Jason Bourne out so far, but it's enough to get me excited. After a small slump in the last Bourne movie, Matt Damon is back, and he's ready to reinvigorate this franchise. In my opinion, the first three Bourne movies make the greatest action trilogy to exist. They are all masterpieces in their own right and this film looks like a blast. I won't be surprised if a full 2 minute trailer will be released in the next few weeks, because a Super Bowl spot is huge, but there needs to be more marketing for this film.

3. The Jungle Book
When I heard The Jungle Book was being remade into a live action CGI-fest, I couldn't really care less. But holy mother of god! The trailers for this film have been phenomenal. The voice cast is brilliant, the CGI is gorgeous and Favreau's direction is sure to be stunning. The CGI just can't be described by just "gorgeous". Look up the trailer for this film if you haven't seen it. Everything you see is CGI. They didn't go out into the jungle to film this. This is done in a sound stage in Hollywood. That's just crazy to me. Needless to say, this movie looks to be pretty sweet.

2. Suicide Squad
So before I saw Batman v Superman, I was more excited for this than BvS. Honestly, the trailers for this movie have been psychotic and glorious, as they should be for a film about a bunch of villains. The ensemble cast looks to be harmonious, especially Jared Leto as the Joker and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. With the enormous shoes that Heath Ledger left to fill, I think that Leto's Joker looks like a fresh take which could maybe give Ledger a run for his money. I am really hoping I will love this more than I will Batman v Superman, but I trust David Ayer, who made 2014's Fury (underrated as hell, check it out.) Bohemian Rhapsody playing with the most recent trailer was a nice touch, and it lets us know that this film is very self aware.

1. Captain America : Civil War
So this probably should not of come to much of a surprise. I love Marvel films, and that is evident. This movie looks like an absolute blast (so does every Marvel movie but whatever.) and all the new characters just get me all ramped up. I am most looking forward to Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther, although many are anticipating to see some web action with Spider-Man. The Civil War plotline is extremely famous among Marvel readers, and many thought we were never going to see such an epic battle take place in cinemas. Well, it's happening, and we couldn't be more excited.

Thank you for reading!
